my gosh, Wolf, you have a bigger inventory than HObbytown in Lexington, KY. I wish i could afford a collection like that, but i buy one, build one, buy one, build one. Being retired, i can spend as much or as little time as i want, and with no wife to put her foot down and come up with all those “honey dews”, i have a good life.
As I said, I’m always happy to help out, especially in changing your better half’s mind about your collections! [:p]
Now, I’m not the bragging type (ask Butz or Eagle334) but I ask, did ya’ll notice the box of decals? If there’s one thing in my whole model-related collection I’m rather proud of, it’s the decals… [^]
Of course, the kits are nothing compared to the books, rags and other reference… [;)]
Someone commented on being able to afford such a collection. I have to admit that the vast majority of the cars in those shots belonged to my Dad. (He had a huge collection, at it’s height he had around 4000 kits! Ive seen bigger collections, but that’s still a ton…)
And the rest, well, I’ve been fortunate in that I’ve been in the hobby a long time (for my relatively young age) and have a good number of contacts and a nose for a deal. If I paid retail for one tenth of what you see there, that’s alot.
A couple good ways to find deals is to go to shows, (always a good deal at a show) sometimes evilBay, (when the idjits aren’t at play) and it also doesn’t hurt to know a guy who changes modeling interests with the frequency of a cheap HAM radio, sells his entire collection at the drop of a hat and only asks pennies on the dollar! [:D] Unfortunately for me, Dan the Man has calmed down and wisened up…

I was sooo happy when I finally found the Tamiya 1/48 UHU, and lo and behold, wolf’s got 3 of them! No fair!
At least if I need a particular kit, I know who to beg.
All of my kits will be built at one time or another, it’s just a matter of by who.

Does anyone else have the urge to start opening boxes when they see blackwolf’s obsession . . .I mean collection ? I’m filled with the excitement of a little kid on Christmas morning.
I can just imagine the kitbashing that would be possible with just a small sample of his collection. Me262 with ramjets, anyone?

Blackwolfscd - after drooling over your amazing collection for the 3oth time - I noticed a couple of shelves there need some reinforcement 
. We’re not ready up here in Vancouver for that “big earthquake” yet.
When those shelves give way I want to at least have my home reinforced LOL

Yea know come to think of it, when I go over to his hobby shop I mean home, he is usually dusting his decals and putting on a coat of wax on there casings.

anyone got a foot extractor? i have a size 9 stuck firmly in my mouth yep i opened my mouth and put my foot in it.
now do i put the replacement value on them and risk her sugesting selling them and buying something "useful"or do i put a lower value on them and hope that nothing happens to my collection?problems problems…Greg
gregers - Go for the lower value & invest the difference in an alarm & sprinkler system ! (Its for HER protection, right ?)
Blackwolf, you wouldn’t happen to have one of those square-headlight Jeep Wrangler kits in there…would you? Or know a good place to find one, I don’t get to shows…haven’t been yet anyway. I was looking on ebay, but no luck there.

I saw that Tamiya had a Wrangler kit, I always seem to just miss them when they are available. I was just looking for any decent Wrangler kit to build to look like my full size model. [:D] Thanks
