Question when painting clear red or clear green on aircraft Should you under coar with a silver or a light gray? thanks J

I suppose it depends on what you’re painting? I use clear green and red for navigation lights. I’ll often paint a silver dot to replicate the lense and then overcoat with the clear colors. Does this answer your question? Hope this helps!

I’ve tried both the silver undercoat and the white undercoat. I recommend the white undercoat, because the silver is too dark. You can experiment first and see which one you prefer…
