Classic Airframes - Outstanding Customer Service

Who says you can’t get good customer service these days?

I sent an e-mail to Classic Airframes customer service yesterday afternoon requesting a replacement resin nose for my Fiat CR.32 (had a couple of damaged or malformed cooling vanes on the nose). I heard back from them this morning letting me know they’re sending me a new resin nose! [:D] Outstanding! I’m thrilled! [party] [#toast]

I wonder if I got a new resin nose from them if it would help my pollin allergy symptoms. I would love to save on buying Kleenex! [:-^]

Classic Airframes is one of those companies that sets the standards for everyone else to follow. They are doing new kits of great subjects with more detail than most, charge a fair price and take care of their customers. A good formula for success.

Yup, I’m an even bigger fan of them now than I was before. Great kits, good value for the money, excellent customer service and I love how they’re blazing their own trail as far as subject matter goes. Most impressive. [^]

Scott…that’s good to hear. I’m on the fence with them, only becuase of the skill required to build one of their kits vs. my current skills. Hearing about their Customer Service tips the scales towards “Go On And Try One of Their Kits”. I like to support companies like that with great Customer Service. They know why they exist…becuase of the Customer.

Word of mouth testimony, especially from someone with a solid reputation like yourself, has an influence on my purchasing decisions.

Their kits are a little tricky, but with a little care and a willingness to learn how to work with resin and PE they come together very nicely. The Bf109D I’m working on is my first Classic Airframes kit (almost ready to get the fuselage and wings assembled) with the CR.32 right behind it and I really like them. I’m still relatively new to resin and photoetch so I’ve had to learn a lot the past month or two. I couldn’t have done it without all the great support, suggestions tips and tricks from all the great guys on these forums. (special thanks to Rick aka. rjplasticmod for all of his help and suggestions on the 109)

After diving in on the 109 and getting the right tools (X-acto razor saw set and a dremel that my wife got me a while back) working with resin isn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be. You just have to be very careful and as long as you pay attention to what you’re doing it isn’t too hard. Heck, if I can do it, anybody can. [(-D]

I’v heard some of their older kits can be a bit rough, but all the kits I’ve gotten from them are very nice, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about their releases over the past few years. Now with the outstanding customer service I got from Classic Airframes, I’ll be a customer of theirs for life! I’ll buy their products right alongside Hasegawa and Tamiya. [:)]
