This is a tractor trailor gun truck from Afghanistan. It is for real. I believe it was a private security groups.

Muuuuuuch better. This would be one hell of a scratchbuild, but you’d need at least a few more pics of this beast. It would be really hard for me to make out some of the details found here from this pic.

I wish I could find more pictures of this. My brother showed me this about 2 years ago. Let me tell you what I know. As you can see there a number of gun rings. To me they look like m240s. Fore and Aft are 7.62 miniguns and M2 .50s one on each end. The forward minigun is mounted on the sleeper with the forward satellite dish. Over the passenger side fender is what appears to be a single M60. There is some type of rocket mounted forward on the trailer near the gun ring.

If those indeed are rocket launchers, this presents a major problem for this vehicle as presented. You have rockets set to launch with a whole lot of that netting behind it. Can anyone say major fire hazard? The bed looks to be open, too and that mean the crew has to find cover before the rockets are launched. Netting is used to break up a vehicle’s outline. Even with all that netting, this thing is going to be obvious on any highway! Further, I wouldn’t want to drive at speed with all that netting hanging all over the place. The stuff on the hood is going to obstruct the driver’s vision and there’s too much likelihood of it dislodging and jamming the tires or fouling the guns.
It’s also not doing anything but extremely wide radius turns. The front tires are virtually locked in to a straight line by the skirts.
The guys manning the Ma Deuces (?) up front are going to be gatting a face full of diesel fumes, too.
I’m not saying it isn’t impractical… just look at it and enjoy the ridiculous truck.
Interesting. I wonder what the camo netting is for. Will insurgents fail to see the truck barreling down the highway because of the netting?
I’d like to remind everyone that this is in Afghanistan. Highway is not really an applicable term for the roads this travels(ed) on.
