This is my second build. I’ve tried to apply some weathering following the advice of you good people.
[;)]I promise I wont delete the photo’s this time…Kenny
Nice job.Totally beats the hell out of the Crocodile I did.
Man that’s nice! But I think you can work on the faces of the figures on your next build [:)]
well done winston…lol…regards jazz
That’s a very well-painted and weathered Churchill, good work! This is one tank I’d like
to add to my collection (along with the Cromwell) but I haven’t found a cheap one yet.
Regarding the faces (and hands) on the crew figures, a technique I’ve found very useful is to use a wash
of very heavily-diluted matt black paint, applied with a small brush. This collects in the low points of the
surface and highlights details, facial features, etc. very effectively.
You could also combine this with a very light dry-brush of a darker flesh tone.
This “colour wash” method also works well on cloth/fabric, in fact more or less any irregular “organic” surface. You can also use it on stowage details like tarpaulins and backpacks.
Nice job Kenny.
Very nice work Kenny! The dio is also well done. Semper Fi, Mike
Hi Kenny,
Glad to finally see the rest of your photos. Very good looking job.
A couple of observations. Looks like silvering on the decals. Also, I think the tracks need a little dirt on them with a dry brushing of some steel on the contact points.
You’ve also done a very commendable job with the slight variations in color on the base coat. [tup][tup]
Thanks for reposting. I really enjoyed seeing your work [:D]

Kenny, great job on the Croc. The only thing I can see that might help you is the decal slivering. To cut most of this out, apply decals before weathering and after weathering apply a very thin ft.black wash. This will add age and help get reid of the slivering.Other then that you have done one heck of a job for your second kit.Keep up the good work,Digger
