Christmas Wish List

My wife mentioned last week her frustrations with Christmas shopping, especially in shopping for me. (It’s easy… anything with wings.) She mentioned just giving me the go ahead to spend an undetermined amount of money on modelling. Wouldn’t that be nice!

So, here it is. With a total of around $350, what would you spend it on? I’m debating on several large kits (Academy 1/32 F/A-18C and 1/35 MH060L DAP to start), or buying up several smaller kits and accessories such as decals, resin sets, etc.

How would everyone spend it?

1/48th scale kits with accessories.

For starters, I’d like the Tamiya 1/32 A6M5 Zero, and probably the Academy 1/32 F/A-18.
John. Then a bunch of 1/48 kits with aftermarket stuff.
Ho Ho Ho.

Anything 1/48 scale with wings, preferably with a jet engine or 2 (or more). There are also several very nice 1/32 planes that have recently been released. [alien]

only $350 hmm ok i will bite on this one.

fujimi 1/700 shokaku
tamiya 1/700 zuikaku
aoshima 1/700 soryu
hasegawa 1/700 kaga
hasegawa 1/700 akagi
banner models 1/350 arizona
academy pby-5a 1/72 catalina “black cat”
accurate miniatures 1/48 sbd-2
minicraft 1/72 b-24j
academy 1/72 b-17g
revell/monogram 1/48 b-17g

i think that pretty much kills that $350.

AM SBD-3
Hasegawa SBD-4 and A-26 Banshee

very easy.

Trumpeter 1/32 Su 27: $110 approx
Tamiya 1/32 f-16: $150 approx
Academy 1/32 f/a 18: approx $115

so about 375, a bit over

Well most if not all on my wish list won’t show up until 2005, but for $350 I’d put these on my list.

Revell 1/32 He-162 Salamander
Trumpeter 1/48 RA5 Vigilante
Trumpeter 1/48 FW-200 Condor
Czech Model 1/48 F3D Skynight
Hasegawa 1/48 P-40E
Classic Air Frames 1/48 Wyvern
Classic Air Frames 1/48 Fiat CR-42

Aftermarket PE, Resin & Decals for all of the above.

Should be about the $350, maybe a little over.

Regards, Rick

any kit that catches my eye, and then stuff them with aftermarket!
