A couple of things - I hope a couple of you have built this kit? First off - here’s my pressie from the parents!
I really like the box art scheme - looks tricky but definately do-able!
Here are the three schemes:
Box art DY basecoat with Olivgrun:
An odd one here - DY Basecoat with Olivgrun stripes and marks and Rotbraun dots (I think)!
This is an interesting one and a possibility as anything Eastern Front is pefect! It’s an Olivgrun Basecoat with patches of Rotbraun:
This should help - I found a picture of all three on the back of the box in colour. I like the box art and the third one. I reckon that hard edged scheme could be damn tricky?
Then I noticed this in the instructions - does this mean I won’t be able to use Friuls? What will I be doing here? I don’t get this bit?
See circled area below - Why do I have to make up 8 x special links for the Drive Sprocket? Like I say - does this rule out Friuls?

Has anyone got good photos of these late Panther G’s? How would you obtain the very hard edged scheme on the tank?
Hi, Ben, hard edge scheme, hand paint it, the olive green and dunklegelb could be one from the factory, these ones with the steel wheel on the rear most station are of MAN manufacture, you are quite limited in the scope available on this one. I think it’s worth an investment in reference on this one. Terry
I am working on a Panther A and the tracks are the same. The magic tracks don’t fit the sprocket very well. I got 'em to fit but it was tedious for a moment. I was not paying attention tot he sheet. Those separate links are specifically to fit better on the sprocket. Shouldn’t rule out Friuls at all. And usually if the is a fit issue with the Friuls they give the correct sprocket with the tracks.
I thought it was you guys who had Silly Putty - we only have Blu-Tack (or poster putty). Andy Deafpanzer sent me a few ‘eggs’ of Silly Putty a year back. Not needed it yet but it’s good to know it’s there.

Ben, for the hard edged camo, i would go with White tac. Silly putty isn’tthat easy to get hold of but i find white tac works a treat. Terry is right in that these vehicles were built by MAN, and they were produced in March and April 1945. I am only guessing here, but i would say those paint schemes are speculative anyway. There don’t seem to be any photos of these in service from what i can find.
Looking forward to seeing you build this. Got this kit on my to buy list, so will be watching closley.

So did this very late G see active service? I understand there’s some [*-)] regarding the paint schemes. I like all three but the box art scheme and the third scheme are the one’s I really like.
I have seen several postings on the web stating that the second scheme (Balaton) was actually a standard camo scheme with white wash & mud. Can’t find the link though…[bnghead] Bison makes a decal for the same tank and it is similar to the Dragon scheme so who is to say?
The first scheme has been documented as both yellow/green & red primer/green-your choice.
Third scheme-I think that there is also a b&w pic floating around on the web someplace-but it doesn’t help much but it does ‘document’ the scheme.

I’ve done a bit of research and although I may be wrong it would seem that this kit represents the VERY late war Panther G from MAN (with the single Steel-Wheel at the rear).
After bit of research it would seem that Olivgrun would have been the basecoat and I’m going to have to choose between the box art scheme which is hard edged Dunky over Olivgrun or the Rotbraun over Olivgrun. It seems that Olivgrun was ordered as the basecoat on these MAN Panther G’s.
The other scheme in the middle of the three shown below (with the DY and Rotbraun stripes), it seems, is only found on MNH Panther G’s?
I’m sure you guys can correct me if I’m wrong but it makes sense, given the options on the box.
I’m building a Panther D at the moment with the same “extra” track links and they fit into the magic tracks fine. As said its so they fit in the drive sprockets better, but they are still a tight fit. if I think its worth it I’ll post some pictures so you can see
