chowhound build gets updated (new pics)

hooorrraaay. i get to post some progress finally.

yes members i have finally gotten to use my hobbyroom/area a little. i have done some things to chowhound. i have completed the interior detail and closed the fuse. i have also attached the upper parts of the wings. i must say there are huge gaps in the seam. going to take some serious filling and sanding folks. ahh well. enough of me chatting. you came in for the pics.

and finally a shot i can show off a little. here is a shot of the closed fuse. and part of my new hobbyroom/area.

Lookin’ good Joe!!

Looks like great progress from here. Good work Joe.

Regards, Rick

Excellent job joe!! Our Forts are looking pretty snazzy, eh? [;)]

I can hear those 4 wrights start up now.

Yessireee Joe, it’s looking good. Looking forward to seeing the finished machine, it will be one to be proud of.

Nice job, fightnjoe ! Really starting to look like a Fort !

Did you glue only the tops of the wings to the fuselage? It is probably much easier to fix the seam that way. Good to see some innovation in construction. Keep up the good work, looking forward to more pics !

What a beast you have on your hands,I like it.Digger

Woooah… what a job on the 17!! That’s going to be a good one!! Thanks for sharing, Joe. [:)]

Take care,
Frank

sweet!!! keep up the good work joe, she’s comin’ along nicely. later.

Looking great so far Joe. Cant wait to see more.

steve, rick, mike, jeff, scott, pix, digger, frank, rik, chris, and bryan thankyou for the kind words. i have never done this hobby to stroke my ego, but it gives me a warm feeling when i read kind words.

mike i do agree out forts are coming along quite nicely. they should be a formidable duo when completed.

pix, i used the technique you suggested when i first joined this forum. i remember i was suspect of it but gluing the upper wing in place does help to minimize the gap between the wing and the fuse. now only if i could get the fuse halves to join that well.

again thankyou so much for the kind words. until the next update. chowhound out.

joe
