Of course, if you want to add the wings, they should be extended.
the basic car is done. I still need to put on the snake bulb horn ( if i can find a snakes head) and do the flying gear.
I also made the desigion to not put the side pipes and the muffler on. The reason is that in the movie it runs down the side UNDER the boat section so thats a fire waiting to happen. Im SURE Cracticus Potts ( the genious that he is) would have made the same desigion if it was a real exhaust system.
here is a slide show of models I have completed. Execpt the pig rig, it didn’t survive a move.

Ditto’s here. Great job with the metal. Dare you add figures?
I’m thinking not as figures to fit would be toys. unless some one can sugest nice edwardian 1/16th scale figures
SHE GOTS WINGS SHE KNOWS HOW TO USE THEM
ok wings are on Chitty Chitty front and rear stableizer next. Still trying to figuer out how to work the propellers. then small details I may have missed ALMOST DONE!!!
SHE"S DONE!!!
Some details
The basket top was made from a strainer to give a weaved look. The spare tire is the rubber topper from a medicain bottle. wood trim is real wood trim from hobby town usa. I soaked parts of it to bend around the opening of the front seat. Back seat bottom is putty. I glued the fabric instaed of sewed it.
that build came out looking really cool.
One of my favorite builds, ever!
This project took skill, dedication, and imagination–and your result speaks volumes about what can be done with proper levels of each attribute–an OUTSTANDING job on this model!!
Well done.She’s a beaut![:D[
