Chinook in 1/48th?

OK OK OK … I have been searching all dang day to find a Chinook in 1/48th. Does anyone know the best overall online hobby shop to buy models? If you know where to find this paticular one I’m looking for let me know. THanks everyone. [:D]

Your best bet would be E-Bay. Every so often one pops up on there, but forget trying to find one in a hobby shop, as they’ve been a generation out of production. Expect to pay dearly, even for a basket case.

truly a sad day

Hi again pharoah,

Sorry to hear about your back! My back got messed up in 1988 when I crashed in an ultralight, along with my feet/ankles. This spawned my reconnection with modeling and art, which I continue to embrace, but motivation isn’t always as it use to be.

Have several models about halfway done, then say I’ll finish them some other day… now all those other day projects are piling up on me! Doing a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo now, building it as Bobby Allison’s “Coke Machine”, after an accurate set of decals have finally been produced!

Oh yeah, back to the point… I don’t know how you feel about Vacuform kits, but you can get a 1/48 Chinook right now from the following business:

I’ve never seen one up close, but have been told they seem to have been molded from the old Aurora kit.
