cheap 'multi-tool' alternative

I’ve always thought that Mission Model’s Multitool was a good idea, but the price was just too steep for the occassional use I’ll get out of it. (2 sizes, $30 retail each). I was at my local Michaels the other day and saw this in the bead section, a Beadalon product and seems to do almost the same thing…

Costs US $8. Thought I pass it along.

Please forgive my noobaciousness but that would this be used for?

Griffin…to make springs, coils or loops with wire.

When I have such a task…I dig out my drill bit index and use the appropriate diameter drill bit shank. A tool that multitasks is a worthy one.

Cool - thanks Hawkeye! [:D[

It can also be used to bend PE metal parts into curved shapes. [;)]

Always amazes me how many different things, with a little creativity, can be adapted for use in our hobby.

yes, true

thanks for the heads up, waikong
