i bought my testors a470 at hobby lobby, and bought testors little blue air compressor with it. it seems to work fine but you cant adjust it. i was wondering if anyone knows how much pressure it makes? not sure what its called, but its small and housed in clear blue plastic.
You just need to get a regulator at Wal Mart or some other such place. Then you can adjust the pressure. I think they put out about 30-35 pounds, but I’m not positive about that. Spend 25 bucks or so and get a regulator, it’ll be well worth it I promise.
That compressor is the one I have. It puts out 20 PSI tops. I am looking into getting a new one, and you should too.
a regulator will help you get the pressures controlled but Tanky is right, the mini blue can’t put out a lot of pressure. Eventually you might want to upgrade to a commercial style compressor at the least. (about $60.00 at Wal Mart) which can put out more pressure than you would know what to do with…
But for now it will help you a lot with a regulator attached!!!
I gave up on the little blue compressor months ago, it’s a real weakling.
Buy a stadard compressor with a 1 1/2 to 2 gallon tank. They usually come with a pressure guage and regulator. All you have to add is a couple of dollars for fittings and then a moisture trap. The moisture traps/filters are a little pricey, but absolutey essential to spraying models.

I just bought a Craftsman 1 1/2 gallon aircompressor with 150 psi from Sears this weekend: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?vertical=TOOL&pid=00915239000&bidsite=&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes
Has anyone out there had experience using this one?
Thanks,
Brian
