Here is my first completed build for 2010.

I wish we could post pics the way it was before…we could get close up pics by clicking on the picture to look at them more closely.
Comments welcomed
That’s nicely done–I like the gritty, well-used look to it!
The only thing I would recommend is to dirty-up the figure a bit to match the tank–or at the very least, dullcoat him. His uniform is a bit too glossy.
You can add some pigments to his trousers, and to the elbows and arms to make it look a littlke more like he was “living” in and around his vehicle.
I like the natural light photos much better. They really show the work you put into weathering that beast. I am assuming that the first set of photos were with a flash? If they were, the flash just washed everything out.
I agree with the Doog about the figure. It iis a bit on the glossy/clean side. Nothing that can’t be easily remedied.
Very nicely done!
Cheers
Dave
Congrats on the first build completion for 2010! Nice work on the hard-edge camo scheme and mud weathering, very fitting for the Char IMHO.
In regards to your comment about the pics, you can still click on them to enlarge them to full size…the difference is that you have to do it at the bottom link right under the pic instead of directly on the pic itself. HTH!
Thanks Bill, Hughes and WBill…
I usually don’t do a figure, but now I want to add them in so I am still a novice at that. The cameo looked daunting at first but once started, it was easier than expected.
All pics are in natural light. The second set was in the rays of the sunlight. Had to work fast as it kept going accross the stand.
Thanks for you comments…
I never cared for this tank until I’ve seen the magic that forum members have done on it. Yours is no exception. Very nice mud work and camo. You need bigger photos though, because the new format doesn’t allow you to zoom in like it used too. MHO
Looks great, I really like weathering.
I don’t know much about these, but that camo scheme certainly is cool! [H]

You’ve done a great job (apart from the glossiness) and you have a lot of potential. Don’t hesitate to address the simple fixes here and repost your progress. I really like it.
Nice one…Well done…![]()
Very nicely done [Y]. The camo & weathering looks great. I keep hoping Tamiya will do this one in 1/48.
Regards, Rick
Great job, man!
That looks sharp!
