Are there any kits available of the Chaparral 2D in the Daytona 1966 configuration other than the old Monogram kit that was based on a slot car ? That is my favorite Chaparral, but it was only in that configuration long enough to be raced at Daytona in '66 if I remember correctly.

I seem to remember that Union had a 2D kit. Part of the “Historic Sports Car” series. I have the P4 kit, not bad…not a Fujimi Enthusiat Series type kit but not bad. I think FITTER may have one squirrled away, I will rattle his cage and find out.

Nah, that was a Porsche 908 Langheck… I know: it’s white and sleek and kinda sporty-looking… the only 2D I have is that 1:43 scale metal kit.

The only other 2D I know of is by Modeler’s ,a Japanese firm.It is a model of the 2D that won the 1966 Nurburgring.It has the duck tail rear end instead of the flapper wing.I found mine on E-Bay.It is a costly one,($52.00 for mine).Happy Hunting
