CH DAK Tiger..What the heck?

Since I am not an E Bay person I was shocked to see on another thread that these kits are selling on E Bay for $200.00 USD??? Is this true?

I’ve got mine still on the shelf, I was going to build it. I mean, I don’t need the $200 bucks, but I am sort of struggling with the decision to build the thing…What do you guys think?

Regards,

Steve

I have not seen DML6286 being released here yet and it is already stocked out?
None of the based Internet stores have any, the only one I could find on a quick search was www.greatmodels.com, they seem to sell at USD 70.
What is this kit, full interior or what?
Don’t support DML’s short series marketing strategy, the eBay prices are ridiculous but in line with the manufacturers ambition to make us accept a higher price tag.

The DML CyberHobbies line is supposedly for limited production kits only. In the US, I think it was released through DragonUSA or something like that. Buyers grabbed them all now there’s still demand. That’s why the +$200 on ebay. I don’t know how they were released to the European market.

The kit is much like the Tiger I Initial with some parts to modify it for a DAK variant. No interior.

It was sold only thru DragonUSA and its European Dragon-owned counterpart. No other stores got them. Greatmodels never had it.

The current market price doesn’t do anything for DML because they aren’t selling anyand therefore not getting the very high price. It’s the secondary market right now.

Save it for later sale crockett ,… its a limited edition kit and will only gain value from here .

I would hang onto it unopened .

I wouldn’t pay $200 for it, that’s a lot of money to put towards more kits. Sell it and build Tamiya’s. LOL

I doubt that the CH DAK Tiger will get much more valuable than what they’re going for now on Ebay. Duestchland Model League has a habit of re-issuing kits after time, their DAK Tiger will reappear in some incarnation again.

E-bay it away to the uninformed and use the money to build the Tamiya African Tiger or Italeri’s Early Tiger (an African version). Use the remainder of the cash to buy your interior fiddly bits.
