I’ve searched high and low and on the reference area but no luck. does anybody have pics of 439 or 410 squadron cf-188b’s without the lex fences? e.i. the early ones

yes people are reading this posting…and yes there is light at the end of the tunnel. I went through alll my old pics and source a few of 188704 sitting on the flight line at CFB North Bay (visiting from Cold Lake) in its origonal cougar markings with no lex fence. Doesn’t look too much different from the ones now. What you planning to do? I have a book my Dad gave me. the best source of pictures. With of course Pics of the origonal 18’s. It is called Sixty Years- The RCAF and CAF air command 1924- 1984. Hope this helps.

the Cf-188b (early), was the first batch of F-18b’s that the Canadian Armed Forces recieved in the early 80’s. They were renamed the CF-188 Hornet when they crossed over the border…Unfortunately my pics are kinda old and grainy, didn’t turn out well when I scanned them. So I am not able to post one. In the book that I mentioned in my last note is pics of the early 18’s. But I usually go to www.dnd.ca for my source pics. I haven’t looked to see if there is pics of any early 18’s. But since the Hornet is the CAF’s pride and joy I am sure their might be some.
