CF-18 Walk Around

Currently (2004), Canada’s CF-18 Fighters are undergoing systems upgrades. 80 aircraft will be participating in this upgrade. The upgraded Canadian Hornets will be officially designated CF-188A/BM. The upgraded Hornets are often refered to as the ‘ECP’ Jets (Engineering Change Proposal), whereas Hornets prior to upgrades are called ‘Legacy’ Jets. My main Walk Around Section shows a ‘Legacy’ Jet from 2003. I’ve now added some photos of the ‘exterior detail’ changes to an ‘ECP’ Jet.
BIll

The Canadian Forces bought CF-18s from 1982 to 1988. Im pretty sure theyre all A’s and B’s. theres a good section on aircraft resource center about them. Also a section on which 72nd kit to use. I would highly recomend the leading edge decals, they rule!http://s96920072.onlinehome.us/TnT_Archives/CF-18.htm

thanks guys i got a f18-f in waiting to be built yet. i am planning on building some candain f-18 they have very eye catching paint schemes on thier hornets[:D][:D]

I know Hasegawa kit in 1/48 scale that came with standard camo markings. I think they have made a 1/72 scale version. Anyway, just buy any F-18A and B We don’t have F models. Canada is a partner on developpement of the F-35
I bought nice decals from Leading Edge(Colourfull Hornets), and Flight decs (2003Tiger meet) http://flightdecs.ca/
