Man I used to work with has owned serveral light aircraft, the last two of which, he asked me to make models of, and put his registration numbers on. This is the latest one. I’m not too happy with the way it turned out, but people I’ve showed it to think it’s pretty close. I had one bad photo to get the paint scheme from. The kit is 1/48th ESCI. I painted it Floquil Reefer White, Humbrol Dark Earth, and MM Insignia Red. The stripe was done with a fine point red Sharpie. The numbers are rub on from an art supply store. I weighted the cockpit, but didn’t get enough in, hence the base. I took the pictures, using a friend’s camera, at work using available light. I wasn’t going to post these, but changed my mind since there are not a lot of light civilian a/c.

Very well done Wayne. Nice to see a civilian a/c for a change… or does the pilot have a box of hand grenades behind the seat[;)]
Wayne,
I think it looks pretty good! The stripes must have been very difficult to do.
I also really like to see Cessnas. How was the kit, and how did the build go.
The base looks darned good.

Great job, thanks for the peek!
Thnaks for the remarks.
Drew- the kit isn’t that bad. It’s fairly simple. Some panel lines would be a ravine in real life. The main gear axles are weak. I snapped one off try to fit the spat over the wheel. I had to enlarge the wheel openings in the spats to get them to fit over the wheels. For some reason, the prop shaft ended up short, so not very much is holding the prop. Seams weren’t very bad. They were easy to fill. They stripes were difficult. Even when i tried to seal the masking with future, I got bleeding under it when I brush painted, and had to redo it several times
nice change of pace, Wayne. She looks real good from here.
Very nice to see something a bit out of the ordinary. Looks pretty well done to me!
Beautiful job on the build.
Nice job Wayne! My father-in-law has a Cessna 140. I wish there was a kit for that. I would love to build it for him.
I’m glad you did post these. It’s a real nice change of pace , besides you did a real fine job from what I can see.
