centurion MkIII turret

Hey all,
here is an update of my centurion tank. I still have to drybrush, wash, and weather the thing, but the assembly is done.On this kit I have shaved all the grabhandles, and made new ones out of wire, added wire runs, and antenna cable to the reel, and to the smoke dischargers. The only question I have is did this thing have any kind of coating on the periscope lenses? If so what color?

Well I hope you enjoy the pics, I will post all done pics when I finish it. Any coments are welcome.

thanks

jim

Jim,on my Centurion I used Pontiac metlic blue paint which gives it a good glass as well med dark look.Digger

I was thinking about using some yello clear over the top of em, they just dont look right silver.

thanks

jim

[:D]i cant comment about the lenses but your kit looks good to me so far.[:D]

Digger,
After thinking about it all day, I think I’ll go with the clear blue over the silver. It should look nice. Thanks for the Idea.

Very nice Jim., Sorry if you covered this, but what kit is that? Tamiya?

Very nice job so far. [tup][tup][tup][tup]

Looks Great , I like the idea of the wire grab handles ! I normally paint my periscope lenses gloss black , but I am trying new methods that I have found in the forum , on my modern armor , M-1’s , Bradley’s , Leopard 2’s , etc. Great bunch of modellers in here , that have ideas for anything !
