[:(] CASTROL EASY CLEAN -INFORMATION VERY URGENTLY REQUIRED.
I BADLY NEED TO TAKE OFF THE PAINT FROM A SHIPS DECK. READING NEWS AND ADVICE FROM THE FORUM, I HAVE READ OF THE CASTROL EASY CLEAN. WILL SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT IT IS EXACTLY ? IS IT NORMALLY USED FOR THE ALUMINIUM WHEELS OF A CAR, OR IT AN ENGINE CLEANER. I HAVE ASKED HERE IN MALTA, BUT THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY ONLY KNOW OF CASTROL KEEN. ANY INFORMATION ON THIS PRODUCT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Actually the product is called Castrol Super Clean and is available at Wal Mart in gallon size containers. It is a cleaner-degreaser and has many applicatins including automotive, marine, outdoor and indoor. It does work well for removing paint from plastic after soaking for a few hours. If you can not find this product you might try oven cleaner which works well.
What Mike told you is correct. Just make sure it’s the product in the purple bottle as they also make a wheel cleaner with a similar name that is not the same.

PS Hit your ‘caps lock’ button on your keyboard again as all capital letters is considered yelling. [;)]
Try lighter fluid. I discovered by mistake (don’t ask how) yesterday that lighter fluid does a very good job of removing paint., perhaps even better than Castrol. I have been using Castrol recently and it does a pretty good job but the fumes were starting to get to me. One benefit of using lighter fluid is that there is very little, if any, odor and it works almost immediately. Hope this helps you.
BTW I just used a q-tip moistened with lighter fluid and rubbed away.
Please excuse the ‘‘caps lock’’ typing. I was getting rather anxious about my model, and just started banging away on the keyboard. Once again I apologise.
Thanks a million for your very kind help.,
