Case the Goodwill and Salvation Army for kits

Thanks mom, who while dropping off stuff at the Goodwill from her recent move, found for me these three kits and got them for me.

Revell 1:96 limited addition Cutty Sark complete in the box for $3.99. This is the one with the brass pedistals and oak base. Yippee!

Imanti 1:98 scale Constitution complete, in the box, with paint, CA, Epoxy, and some tools, all for $5. I have been wanting this kit for years, but could not break for the $50 to $100 bills it goes for on ebay.

Hasagawa 1:48 F4B complete in the box for $0.50. This will go great displayed with my 1:700 Saratoga.

At the local Salvation Army, she finds:

Four boxes of Floquil paint 2oz bottles, 6 ea of flat clear, Navy Blue, Refer Black, and Scarlet Red. I use these colors a lot. All for $3.

For less than $15, she now will keep me stocked for a while.

Anyone else ever case thrift stores?

Wow.
Never ran into anything like that. I went to a surplus store before and to my amazement found a full shelf of Humbrol Acryl paints, for 99 cents Canadian. Nevermind the fortune I saved in paintbrushes that I got there.

Nice score. I’ve never been able to do that at garage sales either.
