Carrier deck sections

I’ve just bought the Tamiya 1/48 Corsair and would like to display it on a carrier deck section, but I can’t find any.

Does anyone know of any manufacturer who makes one, either resin or plastic?[sigh]

After a quick Google:

Try “Just Plane Stuff”

Squadron has

Eduard (eu8802)

Custom Dioromics (CD5009,CD5010)

Thad

I would recommend the Eduard one, its all plastic and the price is quite reasonable, I just got one. The Just plane stuff looks great, but its 3x the price.

Here’s the ones I use http://www.flattopsandmore.com/index.htm

Great kit and accurate. AS it says in the instructions, there are diffrences in the carriers and this allows you do do it right.

I believe the cardboard-based onces pop out on sale in the monthly Squadron sales. I recently purchased the Eduard one in 1/48, a tad more $$ but much nicer, includes a frame.

If you want to do your own using scribed wood or plastic for the decking, we make 1/48 tie-down strips in photoetch, item PE 4801 on our website.

If you’re interested in some scratchbuilding, too, you could use wooden coffee stirring sticks or basswood strips from a craft store, with photo-etch for the tie-downs (like Flattops and More offers).

Brad

Accurate Miniatures makes a carrier deck display piece as well as a PSP display. Take a look at them on their website. You can buy them through the website too.

Thanks everyone. Plenty to consider there! But which one?[%-)]

Didn’t realise there was so much out there.

I concur with Drew, these are the best on the market in terms of accuracy and realism, IMHO!
