Here are some pictures of my last finished project (and by the way, my first contribution to FSM forums. Hope many more will follow this!)
I tried to show a russian tank captured and painted afterwards with a german camo, heavily weathered so as in many areas chipped paint shows the original “russian green” paint.
Painted with Gunze lacquers, weathered with five enamel filters, oils and MIG pigments.
Thanks for posting your pictures! Great to see your completed model!
May i make one suggestion? When airbrushing “snaky” camouflage lines, try not to make a continuous line on a 1/35 tank. While easy to do on your model (you aim your airbrush and go the length of the 15cm long tank), a real human wouldn’t take the time to make that straight of a continous line over a huge piece of machinery.
Imagine if your friend wanted you to spray paint his truck. You get an air hose and a ladder. Will you even want to paint a perfect line? And even if you wanted to, it’d be pretty hard to do. Remember: soldiers are lazy. Try to imagine the overworked maintenance worker adding camouflage to the various surfaces of the tank. In other words, I think your camouflage is “too perfect” . LOL. I know that sounds funny but I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.
