This is the first publicized test of the Army’s new desert obfuscation weapon, P.O.D.D.S., Portable On Demand Dust Storm.

I thought I was one of the last people to read Dune, I’m only 23, I got wind of it from the computer real time startegy game Dune II, The Building of a Dynasty. That was a few years ago, before I was married and had access to a woman.

20 feet, 15 feat 10 feet…um, use the radar altimeter, I cant see S@#$ anymore!!!

Ok junior, think you are hot stuff? Take off the blindfold and find your way back to Pax river! IFR training isn’t until next week.

OR…

OGE hover check complete, now where did the LZ go?

Pilot to no one in particular “This is what I hate about landing at Edwards”

Grunt on the ground… “owe owe owe… where’s my (explative) googles.”

Cleaning stations my butt!

I think that bird is a prime candidate for a high school fundraising car wash

jim

That blasted sandstorm has been following our taile eversince we arrived here…

so this must be how they got that sand storm to blow in for the movie The Mummy

V-22 to base: Better call in the Merry Maids… Major clean up in aisle 7
Base to V-22: Roger that.

That is a joke? It looks like a routine landing to me.

Mac

Mac, I think that’s one of the funniest ones I’ve heard yet.

Can you believe that we actually looked for places like this to do dust quals?

Mac

I understand why you had to do dust quals, but where did you go looking for places to do them? Not… Georgia?

Hey Trigger,
No dust quals until we got in country. Unless you go to NTC, there really isn’t anything close in the States. Even NTC doesn’t quite do the Arabian desert justice. Everybody gets to spend at least a little time at Camp Udairi (now it’s Buehring) and there are training areas in the vicinity where we did our dust quals.

Mac

Looks like Yuma to me, think their CO told them to go re-arrange the dust

“Nahh. Who needs wind shields?”

Guide on me I am your guide?

HOLY DUST CLOUD BATMAN WERE’S BATGIRL WHEN YOU NEED HER[:D][:D]

Now in cinemas everywhere: Operation Desert Storm, Episode II. Can Luke find Dust Vader before it’s too late and Dust Vader’s breathing apparatus clogs up? You’ll have to see it to believe it!

Cheers,
John
