Capital Classic Model Show, Austin Texas

So, I went to the show mainly looking for models to purchase. I am not really building for shows right now. I found some nice kits:

I won this in the raffle.

At the urging of my wife I did take six models with me to enter. I came away with two silvers

And a best Star Wars award.

Nice pics and acquisitions!

Congratulations. Well deserved. I sure like that Hostess Cake truck. Wonder how that kit builds up because the livery would be fun to have on the shelf.

Thank you both, had fun and that is the important part.

This guy built it up, came out nice.

Wow! NucMedTec, first off Congrats on your awards! I really like that Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein kit. What kit did you use for your Millennium Falcon? You came away with some awesome stash additions too.

Good morning Mr. Tom! Thank you, it was a good time and i am happy with the purchases, they were all well priced. The Falcon kit is by Bandai in 1/144 scale from Force Awakens.

That was a good show, lots of excellent work there. I spent quite a bit more at the vendor’s tables than usual myself.

Wish i would have known, would have liked to meet a forum member.

We’ve probably met and don’t know it. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
Model Fiesta is coming up…

Very nice work, you should always listen to your wife! Congratulations on the recognition!

That Jag kit looks really cool and I haven’t build a car in 50 years (last was a Lamborghini countach that I wish I still had).

Thanks Samphoto, I do try to listen to her and she has never steered me wrong!

And even when they do, just be happy they care enough to try.
