Can't Get Enough of that Doog!

I saw in the latest FSM Newsletter (22 April) that our own Doog has made it to the big leagues again… His diorama of the German Field Kitchen is featured in the new book, Essential Techniques for the Model Builder… Congrats Doog!

Now, I dunno if this news was already posted or not, but what made me post it today was this line in the letter:

"Author Karl Logan calls FineScale.com’s forum his “cyber second home.” To correspond with him online, go to the forum, register (it’s free), and look up “The Doog” – that’ll be Karl. "

And then THIS:

“Can’t get enough Doog? Here’re more of Karl’s models at FineScale . com:”

[:D]

I got a grin out of it and thought I’d share it with those of us who don’t subscribe…

Again, Congrats, Doog…

I echo those kudos.
Three Cheers for the rock ‘n rolling, model buildin’, motorcycle racer!

My question is exactly how do you go about being published in Finescale or such. I thaught I may give it a go. Any advice?

I would PM Doog and WBill. I have a few waiting in the FSM hopper but these two are the Shakespear and Steinbeck of the armor forum.

Rounds Complete!!

Use this link, it’s got all the information you need on how to submit for publication: http://www.finescale.com/fsm/default.aspx?c=ss&id=21 HTH!

Roger that.

Hey, thanks so much, Hans, and everybody! I myself just received that issue, and wanted to say thanksto Matt, Aaron and the gang for doing a nice job on it!

I have to admit that I got a HUGE, rolicking laugh at that line about “Can’t get enough Doog”! I laughed my tail off! [(-D] Jenn thought it was pretty funny too!

modelbuilder, Bill gave you the link there–read through it, and practice your “WIPs” here–they’re the best “practice” for writing effective articles.

I’ll bet that will be the title of Karl’s first Kalmabach published modeling guide…I wager within three years it’ll happen…and when it does, the “regulars” in here better get a signed copy…

I’ll be wanting a “doog-o-graphed” copy!

It’ll be a paw-print…[:D]

BTW, I meant to tell you what an outstanding snow-job, Doog… Loved the baking soda…[:D]
