Two part question:
Does anyone out there future coat canopies AFTER painting and removing the canopy mask?
What is the best process for using future and masking canopies?
I’ve only done a very few, but I always dipped them before painting. If you did it after painting, you’d have to remask to flat coat the paint to make it dull agian.
Usually when I use it, I just grab a part with tweezers, then dunk it in and swirl it around for a couple of seconds. I shake it off inside the containter (a ziplock disposable tub, very cheap) and then touch the puddles with a folded paper towel to soak them up. Lastly I set it down on a paper towel to dry (underneath another tub, to keep dust off). I do make sure to move it a couple of times the first couple of minutes to keep the Future from sticking to the paper towel.
