Hi guys. I lost the darn clear canopy and am really upset Ive tried OZMod and Squadron and they are all out. Is there any other source for this type of piece? THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!!
Squadron do make a vacform canopy for this kit. Not sure where you are in the world, but you should be able to find it, if your not sure, you can ask. here it is on Hannants site.
Not sure of the compatibility, but I think I have a canopy from an old Monogram kit. If you can’t get a replacement, let me know and I’ll send it to you. Might just work! Anybody out there know if it would?

Thanks Bish and Eagle. I’m in Miami but wouldn’t mind paying a little extra to get it over here. Looks like Hannants is a good option. Great help!
No problem Borch. Squadron are an American company, so it should be easy to get over there.
Sprue Brothers would be my choice. But they seem to be out of stock. They also seem to be out on Squadrons site. I have just sent an order to Hannants as well. I don’t know if there’s a minimum order for them to ship across the pond. If I had known I could have added the canopy to mine and shipped it over.
I would check some other stores in the US before you go down the route of shipping it over, some one over there must have them in.
Hi :
Isn’t that canopy of MONOGRAM’S the old AURORA mold ?
In the instruction and on the side of the box their is an address that you can write to w/an explanation of what kit number and part number that you can supply that you need.Mail your response -certified-so you know that your letter got there. It may take a few weeks .But it’s worth the wait.It worked for me.
You can forget a replacement from Academy. They have 0% customer support, same for Trumpeter. I have even called the distributor here in the US and NOTHING happens.
Give RC Hobbies in Tamarac a call, 954-721-5720. I have been in that shop several times and they have a pretty good assortment of kits and paints and may have some vac formed canopies. Doesn’t hurt to ask.
Great help. Thanks guys. I got the vac formed canopy at RC Hobbies. On to the next project!
Great Borch. RC Hobbies kind of reminds me of a smaller version of the defunct Orange Blossom Hobbies on NW 36 st. Don’t know if you lived in Miami when it was still in operation.
