Candy Effects with Alclad II tutorial

Another quick tutorial, painting Candy Effects with Alclad II :

I did an El Camino for my daughter doing that with Tamiya clear blue. Looks cool.

I sprayed some gloss black one time after using Alclad. I had done a bad job of rinsing out the Alclad. The black had a nice metal flake look. Maybe worth some expermentation there too.

I discovered this effect accidentally when doing a P-47 Tbolt. The front of the cowl was to be painted red along with the spine leading to the rudder. I painted the cowl and the body of the plane using Alclad aluminum but not the spine. The red on the cowl had a distinct metallic look and was much brighter than the red on the spine. The cowl, while beautiful, was incorrect. I learned to allow for this effect when painting NMF.
