Thanks. Will check that out.

Further funny….. the memo on the cheque sent to me says “Sub refunds Finescale Modular”.

Cheers,

Make sure when you deposit the cheque, go inside not through the automated teller. It is drawn on a US bank and as such is in $US.

@Frozin I won’t be depositing it. I already received my refund. It was applied to the credit card I originally subscribed with.

wait, what? I thought we haven’t purchased any subs yet…

Oh wait, we did, those lovely ones from the UK that caught fire in the middle of the Atlantic..

I do find it amusing that they won’t send paper copies of the magazine, but they will send paper hand written checks and in some cases send the refund twice…..

Hilarious…but for the fact it took 16 weeks to do so. We would be reading the November/December 2025 issue only just now.

No refund on those._

No such luck at Indigo Saskatoon. Out of 16 Firecrown magazines (according to their website) I saw two on the shelf here. Both trains related. Which makes sense, I guess, as trains are a thing here, unfortunately. Out of something like eight Firecrown boating/yachting magazines, not one of those on the Indigo Saskatoon shelf. Go figure. But I digress.

Looks like I’ll be ordering issues from the trains .com store if I want to continue.

Mark

Hi Mark,

I’m in Alberta, but may be able to supply some magazines on an irregular basis to Saskatoon. It would involve at least one other person and we would have to come up with some kind of James Bond type drop point.

It would make it much cheaper than ordering from the US, as I just paid $80 shipping for $70 worth of paintbrushes and tape from the Trains website.

@Frozin Ouch! $80! Add customs to that and more hurt.
Thanks for the offer. I have a brother in New Jersey. Should be able to work something out with him for my magazines.

Cheers,
Mark

A lot of the different issues of the magazine can be found on the Internet Archive.

On a totally unrelated note, color printers are very neat.

I have all the issues, save a couple. This is about moving forward after, basically, being evicted as a paper copy subscriber.

Cheers,
Mark
