Anyone can join, provided they build something a Canadian flew, drove or navigated or was in the Canadian Armed Forces (From WW1 to present). All scales and all subjects.
All PE, AM, Resin, scratch, whatever you need to do to it to make it Canadian, is acceptable.
This may be too broad but I think it’ll be fun, this forum needs more Canadian content eh! [:)]
End date is past but if you have started it, you can take as long as you need to finish! 3 or 4 are still trying to finish - including me with my Bolingbroke!
For those of you desiring badges, you can use these as a template, what some have been doing is swapping out the image with one of what they are building.

Good question! I know for ww2 there were some shermans, some preists, I have a reference to some self propelled guns too. More recently I know of the Leopards piranahs and the bombardier jeeps.
I’m not an armour buff but if anyone else has a good idea and could post a partial list that would be great.
Jay, it does sound interesting. The Hurricane I’m building for the BOB GB was flown by a Canadian pilot. I’m a definite maybe, depending on start date & what else may be going on.
At a boy Jay [:D]. I’ve been thinking the same thing for a long time now but was just too chicken to put it out there. We can’t let those Aussie’s show us up now can we! I’m definitely in but will hold off announcing what I’ll do until closer to the start. Maybe that new Hasegawa Lancaster will be out by then and I can do the one my Uncle flew. That would be awesome. Later.
I may be intested as well. I am waiting for 1:72 Flower class corvette HMCS Snowberry to arrive. It will depend on start date and such. Might help motivate me to get it done. I’d pick a less daunting subject but my Grandfather was on Snowberry and I’ve vowed to get it done while he is still around.
I’d be interested in joining - have several unbuilt kits that could be used in this category. Another site to check for WW2 armour in Canadian service: http://www.mapleleafup.org/armour.html
Sounds like I have some good responses, thanks for the support!
bstrump, I really like the tiger meet colours, that would be a good idea (I think the Hornet looks the best in those colours).
The more I think about it, the fall would be the best so tentatively, lets say Sept 1 to Dec 31? Any objections?
As for myself I have the Arfix 1:72 Blenheim kit (Bolingbroke for us Canadians) which I am torn between two schemes, one as part of RCAF 115 (BR) sqdn based on the west coast which was the only airplane involved in the sinking of a Japanese sub or one of the cool black and yellow striped trainers. Tough choice!
Smarty, could you do me a favor and keep me updated on your Snowberry build even if you don’t participate in this group build? I am definitely interested in building a Flower kit sometime down the line. For this group build though, I’m thinking aircraft…
Just one additional note: On this one, the later the build, the better. I’m just injecting that for my own selfish reasons, because I’m currently on the Eight Kit plan. I promised my wife I’d build what I have before I buy any more kits (so that’s seven) and I have an Ia Drang Huey planned as the first new kit–the 40th anniversary is in November.
Plus…a late fall/early winter start time will have everybody in that Great White North kind of mood…
If this turns into a real GB, I was playing around and came up with this badge. It’s not the best but the shield rep’s all units ex: land, air, sea. Count me in as a maybe, not sure what I’ll do.
