Nice job Maniac, what paint are you using?
ICIT
very nice. weathering is not overdone. i will have to get one of these to fill out my canadian warwheels.
icit, thanks! AI - my main armor modeler uses industrial paints. He buy main color of paints (R/G/B B&W) from hardware store and mix them into desired color following color painting guide.
waynec, thanks! and go for it. Apart from 2 versions of Cougar I think there’s also the Grizzly.
That’s truly amazing that he uses “industrial” paints, and not premixed model hobby paints! My respect for his modeling abilities have just stepped up another notch!
I really wish he could be a part of this forum on his own. His work is really VERY good, and I only feel bad that we cannot interact and speak with him as well. He really deserves to know that many people here really admire his work. The weathering on this is also pretty much perfect. Once again, please let him know that he is doing wonderful modeling!
Thanks so much for your kind comments, Karl. The reason he uses industrial paint is the cost factor. Why pay $2 - $3 for 10-20ml of hobby paint when 400ml of industrial paint (spray can) costs only $1.50? He would spray it out into a small bottle just enough for use at a time.
I’ve already told him about your wish for him to join here, but I don’t know whether he’ll have the time or the capability to do so.
Sorry for my late reply. Lately I’ve been busy updating my sound page. While I update my model website just over 2 times (pages) a month, I update my sound page every three days with 16 new songs. Now I have 838 songs and counting. Eight months in the making, I’ve gone from 0 play per day to over 11,000 plays:
