I don’t mean on the site, I mean in our lives. It is all about fun, right? We build the models for fun, we do research as fun. Sometimes it becomes passion. For others it may be a statement. But fun is what it is about. It relieves tension, and lets us go to another place and time. perhaps it could be fantasy for some. For me it lets me escape from the tensions and mediocrity of my injury imposed life. It is Fun for me, and relieves My tension.
Odds and ends it is then. I found it all rather FUNny.
It was funny at first, but now it seems like everyone is just posting up “Off-Topic” just for sake of doing it. Some one just post up another Off Topic stuff. I don’t know whether people are doing it for fun or trying to make fun of… Either way, as I suggested before on that Breakfast cereal stuff, this should go to the odds and ends.

No disrespect intended (to you or anyone else), but if there are differnent catagories for the various subjects, they should go in the appropriate catagory, “odds and ends”. If you go there and don’t want to read it, fine.
This is and needs to remain the armor forum (in my opinion).

The complaint isn’t about the threads and their content per se but what they do to the forum listings in terms of clutter and having to sort through it to find the threads you want to read vs. those you don’t. Given how the forums list threads by posting, yesterday for example the main page was dominated by OT posts vs. non-OT posts. It’s somewhat equivalent to checking your email and getting 10 new messages only to discover that 6 of them are spam…you still have to sort through the junk to find the ones that really matter for that specific forum and that’s what is causing the outcry. Forums are organized the way they are for the convenience of the readers and members and that organization is in place for a reason and should be respected. The posts are humorous and light-hearted and are fine as such, they just don’t belong here in this forum, not because we are all soul-less ogres without a sense of humor but because we come here to read about armor-related topics…not to find out about people’s PC rigs or what they like for breakfast… [;)]
Agree…it is akin to tuning in the Military Channel and finding a Lifetime movie playing…
I have to say that I somewhat enjoyed them at first too, but then I was like, "Hmmm, maybe we should get back to the MODELING?!?!
