I know I submitted an earlier thread about this but I just want to test the waters. I have a Hasegawa 1/48 Spit Mk IXc that I want to be correct are there instructions out there that can point me in the right direction to correct the fuselage inconsistencies ?? If I don’t have to I’d rather not have to buy all the correction kits. Thanks.
I’m not a Spitfire expert as my last exposure to a MkIX was the old Monogram kit.

I would hope the manufacturer has corrected the kit.
The best route to a correct Mk IX is to suffer through the ICM kit, as it is very accurate in shape. Just build the Hasegawa kit and have fun, once it is built it will look great in the display case.
the icm kit has all the right shapes and costs less than the corrections for the hasegawa kit! i’d disagree with the “suffering” comment-maybe he was unlucky and had a duff one- i enjoyed building mine and i’ve got several more. if you take your time it goes together very well- i missed out many of the engine parts because mines closed up-and i only used a little filler on the underside where the wing meets the fuselage. the hasegawa kit builds well but if you put it next to a tamiya mk.v you won’t need a ruler to see that its a long way off-the mk.IX is noticably longer but the error seems spread along the fuselage. if its the only spit you’ll do then get stuck in- its a smooth build; it just depends how mucch this sort of thing bothers you. personally, i sold mine off after i’d compared them with the icm kit…enjoy your spitfire whichever direction you choose.- s

Aeroclub do a corrected-length fuselage; look for kit no. K83248.
