Hi I have a 470, which has been replaced once due to spraying lacquer and oil based paints. Even though these ab have a lifetime warranty, I now only spray acrylics. Cleaning it may be a handful at times. This is not to say that I am unhappy with it, to the contrary, but I tread gently that’s all…

Maybe mine was an early model 470, but I ran some Alclad through it, and it was stuffed from that day on!!!

The lacquer ate through the rubber ‘O’ ring, so I say NO it can’t spray lacquers.
