Was micheal wittman’s tiger tank camo’ed with a white wash during his stay at the eastern front?did he get rid of the white wash by the end of his last battle in the bocages?
As to your first question, yes. His Tiger, S04, was white camo’ed (the white seems to have worn off the turret fairly rapidly) in the winter of 1944.
As to the second question, no, he fought (and eventually died) in the Normandy campaign in a different Tiger, a late-model vehicle (you know, with the all-steel road wheels). It carried the three-tone scheme, no white camo.
