what would be a good way to simulate camo netting?
Hi Chris,
I got several yards of cheese cloth for $.50 a yard at Wal-Mart. You can cut it to size, rough it up and paint it however you choose.
Regards,
Joe
Cheese cloth does work great Chris, that’s what I used on my Leopard 2. If you did’nt see it when I posted the pics of it it’s on my site.
ok I’ll have to do some experimenting with that. Thanks guys!!!
I used ( at some laughing and harrasing from my wife ) parsley to simulate leaves tangled in it. Sprinkled some around it while the paint was still sticky and worked great.
A gauze would also be good.
I use 4x4 gauze pad and spinkle parsely flakes on
hi there [:D] , what do you think of (i don’t know what the name is in english) but it’s the netting (old) folk put over there hair [(-D] i just it and it is also great to put camo between the meshing because there are no knots, greatings from belgium
Chris - cheese cloth works great … spray paint it before applying it and use the 50/50 water - white glue method to stick it down. Dry bursh to highlight the edges.
Maffen - most hair nets that I’ve seen are for the restaraunt industry and are a little too thick in the strands to be effective.
I brush painted mine. put it on with straight white glue. looks okay to me. might do some dry-brushing on it yet. thanks everyone for the tips.
I just love the tips I read from here.

HEY,
These are some great tips. I have been thinking of the same thing for awhile, but kept forgetting to ask. Thanks for all the help.

i got one q in case there is no parsley available ?
someone told me to use cut tissue paper , but it sound a bit tough to cut it to tiny pieces
is it ok ?
Parsley isn’t your only food source for this though.
Tea leaves, oregano, and some other spices also work.
I used basil. (after I took the pics)
thanks guys better hunting for leaves now
