Hello - Norway calling!
Some time ago I purchased the Classic Airframes Kit no 436, 1/48 scale Blenheim MK IV, on the Internett. Sadly the clear part canopy was totally damaged and the kit is ruined. CA can not supply me with a new one. Can anyone help me? Oystein
Is that kit like some other classic airframe stuff that comes with two vacuform canopies? I’m actually keeping an eye out for that same kit but haven’t been having any luck yet. (greetings from Canada, welcome to the forum, I think you’ll find it’s a handy place)
That CA kit featured injection molded clear pieces. Your only hope is to wait until they reissue it and get a replacement then. I had a similar problem with parts from them and had to wait a few years until the roulette wheel of production hit my number.
Thanks for your kind answer.
I think I will try to glue the broken parts and use it as a form, and then do a selfmade vacuformed canopy by heating some clear plastic card on the top of it. The model is going to be displayed in a museum, so I have to do my best. White glue and Future will not fix this canopy, there are to much broken “glass”.

Hello Canada! The clear parts are in plastic. The Fiery Battle kit has got a vacuform canopy. I am lucky to have got two of the CA Blenheim IV kits, they are sold out and very difficult to find these days, even at ebay. GreatModels.com has got the Mk I on sale right now - but not from CA though.
I first started modelling back in 1965. During the the last five years I have restarted my hobby - but I have been collecting kits for many years. I have more than 200 kits waiting in their boxes, mostly in the 1/48 scale.
