I was just wondering if anyone has noticed any adverse effects of using CA accelerator on paint with a coat of future on it??? I don’t want to damage the paint job, but I like the hardening properties of the accelerator. Thank you in advance for any suggestions/answers!
I try to keep accelerator away from all painted surfaces in general. I have seen it do some ugly things which required repainting to fix.
WOW!!! Thanks for saving me Leopold!!! I owe you one! Thanks for the warning![bow][bow][bow]
Heath,
Baking soda can be used as an accelerator also and it probably would’t affect the paint as far as I know. You may want to test a scrap painted piece first.

I’ll let you know Mike, thanks!!! I have plenty of scrap to test with!![;)]
That’s what I used to use a lot. Just mix a little baking soda in some water and spray it on the joint. I think it tends to leave more residue than the commercial accelerators, but it’s a whole lot cheaper and works great in a pinch. Never tried it over Future though, so I don’t know how that would work.
