CA-12/13 Boomerang

Hi Folk’s,

This little gem in 48 scale is of the CA 12 Boomerang which is another of the RAAF Officer Training School’s model’s, it is not a plastic kit, it is Resin and White Metal, with a vac formed canopy. It is not a model that I built, but one of my co founders [who also built their Meteor Model, which is not the Classic Airframes kit, it is deplicted as ‘Halestorm’]. The builder of this Boomerang model is curently doing a 48 scale Sunderland III, to which I’ve been making some of the resin parts for. [There is an injection moulded 48 scale Sunderland due for release later this year from FM models in France].

The information given on this particular project was that of the pilot’s name a F.O. Archer, and a couple of photo’s, the decals for this were scrounged from aftermarket sheets and custom made.
It has been finished in the RAAF coulours of Earth Brown / Foliage Green over RAAF Sky Blue.

The colour photo is a rare WW II shot taken at the back of the Commonwealth Aircrfat Corporation Factory, giving great coulour detail of the aircraft of the time.

The pic is very dark on my monitor. Seems like it may be seriously underexposed. From what I can see, looks like a nice build. Who makes the Resin kit ?

Nice looking Boomerang. 1/48th? Impressive. More pics please!
