I just picked up italeri’s 1/72nd C47 kit no127 it seems like a good kit no flash and engraved panel lines has any body built this and tips on painting invasion stripes since no decals are provided for them
They look better painted. They are 24" wide on your Skytrain. You can look at enough pictures to get a pretty good idea where to put them. Remember they were put on in a hurry, just prior to the actual invasion. Brushes and rollers.

I usually (maybe I’ve done about three) paint the whole area white, then go back and mask and add the two black stripes on top. Again, just short of freehanding with a brush, they should be slightly irregular.
There’s some good sets of decals out there for the other markings.
It’s a nice little model. Italeri has also been selling it for years as a passenger liner, which is a bit of a problem as it has a cargo door.
Thanks for the info and it seems no two sets of stripes are the same so brush marks and uneven is acceptable
