Does anybody know if a 1/144 C-5a Galaxy exist?
Scalemates list several: Anigrand, Entex, Otaki, Revell, Testors, & Yodel…
& 2 in 1/72nd…
There is a Britmodeller doing this in 1/48th… [:O]
As far as I’m aware, these are all the same kit.
And very hard to find and expensive

I’ve built the Testors version many years ago, it’s hanging on the ceiling.
It’s a manageble size and a decent kit.
I have/had the 1/144 Revell ket from many moons ago; unfortunately, it was subjected to several years of abuse from my then very young sons, and there are a couple of pieces missing now. As I recall, I didn’t pay very much for the kit originally, but I understand they are quite pricey now.
I know there’s been some impetus to market a 1/72nd styrene version of the C-5A/B/C, but I don’t know where that’s at.
I looked on ebay and they are few and far between and not cheap.

In the Navy my squadron and i spent more than 16 hrs loading two of our RH-53Ds in two of those big birds as it turned out for the Iranian hostage rescue in 1980.One of thier crewman gave me the grand tour.
I found one of the Entex kits about a year ago. Donated it to another forum member, though. From several close looks and test fitting, seemed like a really nice kit. Good luck In your search.
Sadly that old Otaki/Revell/Testors C-5 kit goes for silly prices this day and age. I would love to see Revell Germany release a brand new kit. For now I have to be content with my Starfix 1/288 scale C-5 A kits. And despite Starfix’s horrible reputation their little C-5 kit is actually a nice model.
One of these stories MAY be true:
The original Otaki mold was purposely destroyed.
The original Otaki mold was accidently destroyed.
The original Otaki mold sank in a shipwreck.
The original Otaki mold was sold to Revell who is sitting on it.
Revell discarded the mold.
Revell has the mold but doesn’t realize that it is sitting somewhere among hundreds of unused molds.
The original Otaki mold was abducted by aliens.
The aliens that abducted the mold all work at Revell.
In any case, if Revell still holds the molds, it would be unlikely that they would make a new mold. The old Otaki kit would still be good enough for today’s market.
So Mr. Boyer are you not confirming nor denying that there may or not be a release of one of these monsters in the future? And if I recall some time ago you yourself scratch built one of these. We haven’t seen you around for a while, can you state your whereabouts? Maybe lurking around the Revell mold archives nudging the model gods to put that giant back into the hands of us who don’t have a house big enough to park it? Well if it does show up I want to buy a new home anyway. Have a GREAT day sir and happy modelling.
Very nice! My Dad was got an assignment at Edwards AFB when he returned from 'Nam during the time the Air Force was flight-testing the C5A (there were certification testing going on with the 747, too, at that time). I’ve been all over that airplane as a kid. Lots of fun. Used to watch it execute short takeoff runs from the lakebed.

The molds are at Area 51 and being back engineered.
Ok, so you left out two theories.
My grand mother gave me a commerative coin made from the metal they used on the fan blades of the C-5. She worked on them at the factory near my home town before they were shipped to be mounted on the aircraft.
I could tell you some stories about those monsters from when I was at Dover in the early 70s.
