Can anyone tell me if these aircraft had fabric control surfaces? The model has the parts molded to look this way, but some pics I’ve found seem as though they are metal. Is it possible the surfaces were upgraded?

I dont know if they were upgraded but i have seen a Mexican DC-3 that was a presidencial aircraft in the 50´s and i have been told that this plane is one of the very few in the world with the least flight hours since new. the control surfaces are covered in fabric…
