C-130 Relief...

I thought this would shine an humorous light on an otherwise tragic situation…Notice the cargo in a Navy C-130 heading to support the victims of Hurricane Katrina. One doesn’t appreciate what one has until it’s gone.

"U.S. Navy personnel, assigned to Fleet Logistic Support Squadron Five Five (VR-55), load their C-130 Hercules aircraft with portable restrooms and other supplies to be delivered to New Orleans and surrounding areas in the wake of much needed sanitation requirements. VR-55 is stationed at Naval base Ventura County, Calif. The Navy’s involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense. To all those affected by Katrina…you’re in our prayers.[|)]

At least they are empty now! I’d really had to be on that Herc on the return flight [:p]

They’re transporting new Tardises! [:o]

I wonder if they’re bigger on the inside than they are on the outside…

Cool pics. Thanks for posting.

Regards, Rick

People will be wishing they were after a few days, I suspect.

It really is awful the stories coming out of there. A few Brits were caught up in it, and they’re getting news coverage now that they’re back… My heart goes out to anyone stuck amongst all the devastation.[V]
