By JOVe! Grumman's toothy Mohawk JOV-1A

Here we go again- I had fully intended to take on this kit two whole builds, a relocation and an an open-heart procedure ago. It sure is satisfying tick off another ‘good intention’. As with all my builds I’m keeping it simple- NOT! C’mon- take a look.

Cool, Chuck - you are transmitting again!

So this is a vietnam bird, isn’t it? Gives you an excellend excuse to draw some nice mama-san next to it, doesn’t it?

Looking forward to next updates here! Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Paweł

I think a “Little Annie Fannie” would work just fine…

In any case, looking good!

Thanks, Pawel! Yes, there will be a parade of lovlies- even one or two in ‘black pajamas’. Stikpusher, that’s not a bad suggestion- cheers!

Here’s the latest shagadelic update- cheers!

Awesome work on a very cool subject! Will be following along.[Y]

Mike

Oh heck yeah! Good to see you posting your impossibly detailed work again. Will there be any way to see any of that super intricate work you added to the back of the cockpit?!

It also appears your graphic designs have improved since your last build. Impressive!

As always, I’m looking forward to seeing more. Your builds are like adventures.

Glad to see you back Chuk! Sorry to hear about your troubles and glad to see you not letting it hold you back. I’ve enjoyed your scratch building for years and I’m still trying to clean up some of what I do.

One question I’ve got is how do you typically address and fix your plumbing? Some times my methods for glueing ends together can be a bit cumbersome.

Chuk, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your posts and appreciate how much time you put into them. Not only are you a phenomenal builder but very talented in how you present your posts. They are very informative and fun. Thanks!

Mike

Yay, Chuk’s Back!

Thanks, Mike- So glad you enjoy my humble methods of teaching about modelling. I’m glad to have you along for the ride- cheers!

Glad you like it, Mike! It’s taken me a while to get back into the swing of things since the surgery, but it’s linda like riding a bicycke- after re-reading the manual. The detail in the first camaptment wull be visible through the rear of the nose well. I’m pretty sure the panels on the upper fuselage were armor plate that could be screwed off, but I have no pics of that save a restoration in progress. That’s why I hhaven’t bother to detail out the tops of things and all the wirubg, etc that won’t be seen from below.

Thanks, John- it’s sure is good be here!

Oho ! Another back after that Chest opening. Double YAY !

They find anything interesting in there? Like some old artifacts? LOL. Glad yer back fella. Mine still aggravates me from time to time movement wise, But I sure rest easier at nite. Now the plane’s parts are gorgeous, But keep on keepin on with the ladies Please!

Oh! By the way. In Honor of Shep paine I have discovered,“Creative Gizmology” works well on ships too. Modern ones, that is.

Chuck, that is some crazy detail man!

Thanks, Mopar!

Much appreciated, fellow zipper-clubber! I’m doing pretty well- still some twinges and I’m still treating myself gingerly.

Well, friends- sit down to tale of modeling adventure, styrene feats of derring-do and cold brass tragedy… if you dare!

I think I’ll put the Quickboost nacelles on both sides on mine, Chuck. But that won’t happen until the memory of the work you are doing isn’t quite so recent. It’s good to know I’m not the only one putting bits on backwards!
