But seriously folks, I need some reference sites for the P-39/P-400

I would be most grateful if anyone can refer me to one or more of such sites. I suddenly and irresponsibly decided tonight to put aside every one of my dozen or so overdue projects, and impulsively build this irresistable Eduard Air A Cutie P-400 kit, the latest from their Limited Edition series of upgraded and generally improved versions of earilier kits., with sexy nose art and color PE frets. Can wait to dive in, but have no references in the currently tiny Sharkskin referene library. Much thanks,
TOM

Give Squadron’s P-39 Airacobra in Action a try. It has at least one picture of the Air-A-Cutie in it although they claim it’s a P-39F.

Bert Kinzey’s Detail and Scale book on the P-39 is excellent. Many close-up photographs of a couple of restored planes for detailing, both in color and black and white. It also has some vintage WWII era color photographs. The book also covers the P-63.

I can’t think of any websites specifically for the P-39, although they are probably out there.
