Building your own Tools/Jigs,.?

Just wondering how many of you here have Built your own work bench tools or Jigs to help simplify a Project ,. ?.. I have built a Jig for ships & subs and also an adjustable jig for Individual track links ,.and another for 1/35 scale barrels,. what tricks have pulled out the “Hat”,…??

Well I sure did that. I mostly use popsicle sticks for that. Examples are setting the correct dihedral on short run kits or aligning road wheel arms on a tank model. There are also holders for painting certain parts. Other category are scribing templates made of discarded sheet metal.

Have a nice day!

I’ve done temporary jigs for multiple projects. But I have done many storage ideas for my tools.

I’m impressed with the guys that can build stuff like that and the scratch builds, pretty amazing stuff.

Sometimes jigs are necessary to get things in the right place.

It was a pain, but there was no other way to get things to line up.
