Hey all! Does anyone know of a good video or walk through on making 1/48 scale buckles?
Are you talking about seat belt buckles, or buckles on figures?
Waldron model products, Aber etc, do them, with instructions to show the how-to, as in this google search

Buckles for aircraft seat belts. Sorry I should have been a little more specific. I have no problem with the belts themselves or even the adjuster buckles, but the buckles get me. Maybe it’s just too small of a detail for my current skill level
In that area you’re not alone. I’ve got photo etched buckles for use in future projects. I will never be able to make my own.
To me the buckles in 1:48 are small enough that when I make masking tape belts and straps, I just cut the ends to the shape of the fastenings and draw a silver area on the end with a silver fine tip marker. That doesn’t work for 1:32, but looks fine in 1:48 and 1:72 Aircraft buckles generally are not chrome, they are some duller coating, maybe zinc or something like that, so they don’t need to be super shiny.
