I’ve decided to try some PE: my navy needs railings. Any reason that Cyber-hobby’s PE set for the Dragon 350 Scale Buchanan wouldn’t work with the Dragon 350 scale Laffey? I think the ships were very nearly the same, but I wouldn’t bet my pink slip on it.

Laffey was a Benson-class destroyer. The Buchanan was a Gleaves/Livermore class. The Gleaves/Livermores were also referred to as repeat Bensons. Built to largely the same design specs they were funded in different fiscal year spending authorizations. The major external differentiating characteristic between the Bensons and Gleaves/Livermore is the shape of the funnels. The Bensons’ are flat-sided white the Gleaves are round.
So, short answer long, you can use the Buchanan PE on the Laffey.
