Hi again. I have another build done by Ethan’s brother, Holden, who’s six. He built HobbyBoss’s Easy Build 1/72 “Mess of shmidts”(what we like to call 'em). He brush painted this too, with some masking help from dad. Gotta love 'em using the brush like a mop! He really liked doing the “polka dots” on the fuselage side, and he wants a Trop E4/7 with the cool desert scheme for Christmas.

Kudos to you Missvol for getting your kids started in this hobby. My 8 year old is getting into it as well. My issue is that he is more into armor and ships than aircraft; whereas, I am more into the aviation side of things. So when it comes to me helping him out with the projects he likes, its a bit foreign to me. Last night he revealed to me that he wants some kind of submarine kit for Christmas. I guess I’ll be looking at those.

I could hold a brush, but it usually found other objects instead of the model (tables, walls, carpet… [6])

Hey, that’s one cool looking Schmidt Holden, a really fine job you made of it. That wasn’t an easy paint scheme to do, it looks just like the real airplane. Thanks for the photos, I hope we see more of your work soon.
Mi-ssip, you have to be the best kind of Dad. Getting involved with your young feller’s and doing about anything together, is something that will create and reinforce a bond that is so valuable. Holden is just beaming with enjoyment in the photo, his pride in the model is evident. You guys can have a really good time with model building for many years, then, they can teach their kids to do the same. A family tradition.

Well, he’s finished his tropical 109. Used cotton swab for the green after painting the base colors. The Hobby Boss kits are making these builds fun. 
That is incredible Holden! I’ve never built a German aircraft in my life (I’m 49) because I’ve been scared of the camouflage motifs. I didn’t think I could do it. Seeing yours now gives me the inspiration to build one. Thank you Holden.
